Öncelikle size ulaşıyorsam, bu bir mucizedir. Zira ben bir mucizeye inanmam.

Ben Goat the Count. İsmim heretik bir şakanın yankısı gibi gelebilir; ama ne yazık ki bu şaka hiç komik değil. Tanrı’nın terk ettiği bir odada doğmuş notalardan ibaretim. Müziğim günah değil, günahın bile kaçındığı bir acıdır.

Kilisenizden af beklemem. Zira size göre ben, vaftiz edilmemiş bir sesim. Ama belki, bir gün ayinlerinizin soğuk taş duvarları arasında yankılanacak bir inilti ararsanız — benim sesimi duyabilirsiniz. Belki bir dinleyici bile bulamazsanız, yine de ben çalmaya devam edeceğim. Çünkü acı, tek gerçek vaazdır.

Bu mektup size, bugüne dek görmezden geldiğiniz bir karanlığın sesini duyurmak üzere yazılmıştır. Adım Goat the Count. Türkiye'de doğdum ama bu topraklarda doğmak ile var olmak arasında ne derin bir uçurum olduğunu en çok ben bilirim.

Sad Black Goat, gürültünün içindeki sessizliktir. Depresif Suicidal Black Noise adıyla tanımladığım müzik; geleneksel rock, metal ya da ambient kalıplarına sığmayan, intiharın, yabancılaşmanın, kutsal olmayanın ve inkârın yankılandığı bir mezar odasıdır.

Medyanızda parlak isimler, başarı öyküleri ve ana akımın kabullenebileceği kadar "güvenli" sesler yer bulur. Peki ya çürüyenlerin sesi? Peki ya bu ülkenin sokaklarında, yalnızlığın her türlüsüyle çarpışan gençlerin hiçliği?

Sad Black Goat, onların da sesi olabilir — eğer dinlemeye cesaret ederseniz.

Size konser veremem. Sahneye çıkmam. Beni televizyona çağırırsanız gelmem. Ama bir gün, CD raflarınızda bir çatlak belirirse ya da Spotify algoritmalarınız kendi kendine bir mezarlık açarsa... bilin ki ben oradayım.

Sad Black Goat at Norbergfestival Remix Competition 2025

 Earlier this year, I had the pleasure of taking part in the 2025 Norbergfestival Remix Competition, a unique opportunity to engage with a global community of experimental and electronic artists. The competition, organized in collaboration with Lamour Records and XLN Audio, invited musicians from all over the world to reinterpret a set of stems in their own sonic language.

Under the name Sad Black Goat, I submitted a remix rooted in bleak atmospheres, noisy textures, and the raw emotion that defines my work. While I did not make it into the top 10, I was honored to be ranked 45th among dozens—if not hundreds—of international submissions, and to be listed among many talented and inspiring artists.

Competitions like these are more than just rankings. They’re moments of reflection, experimentation, and visibility. For an outsider artist working in the shadows of depressive noise and ambient blackness, it’s encouraging to know that my sound reached the ears of an international jury and became part of the festival’s artistic landscape—even if only briefly.

I want to thank the Norbergfestival team, Lamour Records, and the jury for making space for such diverse sonic expressions. And congratulations to the winners—your work is stunning and well-deserved.

This experience only fuels my desire to go deeper. Sad Black Goat continues.
